What is a BSI Flange?

Like many industries, the flange manufacturing industry must adhere to certain standards and specifications in order to be approved for use in projects. Buffalo Flange, Houston produces flanges to many of the most common standards and specifications including JIS, ANSI, DIN flanges and more. One of the more common standards is BSI. BSI is an acronym for the British Standards Institute. The British Standards Institute is the national standards body for the UK and governs many sectors of business including engineering, manufacturing, educational institutions and research groups, consumer organizations and more.

An important thing to keep in mind is that flanges are not interchangeable. Flanges of different specifications will not work together - for example, a BSI flange will not mate with an JSI flange.
